My name is Adele Prince and I have always considered myself to be quite a lucky person. I regularly pick up pennies on the street, believing the saying: 'Find a penny, pick it up and all day long, you'll have good luck'. I have decided to share this luck with other people: I have picked up seven pennies, documenting where and when they were found, I will carry one of these pennies with me for seven days, keeping a journal of my luck, then pass this penny on to someone else, who will do the same.

Adele Prince is an artist based in London. She likes looking at the little things in life that often get overlooked. The things that we do every day with out even thinking about it: eating, brushing our teeth, having a cup of tea, scratching our head, folding our bus ticket; she examines these things closely and breaks them down into little rituals. She loves instructions and has a big collection of instructional diagrams found on everyday packaging, she also has lots of in-flight safety cards and self-help books. One of her favourite activities is picking things up: lost pennies, shopping lists, notes: these make her very happy.
Adele would like to thank Edward Hill very much for all his help and support. Edward is very clever at working things out, and thinks nothing of sitting at his computer for hours and hours, trying to make something work. The best thing is that he totally understands the way Adele thinks and doesn't think it odd to get excited about a crumpled bit of paper.
